Replay Music Studios’ three rehearsal rooms are wired with an easy-to-use audio/video recording system that, with the click of the mouse, allows musicians to capture HD video of any song they play here. What really makes this technology unlike anything else is the quality of the audio that accompanies the video file.
With a pair of Audio Technica 4040‘s microphones mounted on the ceiling and direct signals from instruments and other microphones in the room, a 2-track recording is joined with a video signal to create an instant HD mp4 video file with high quality audio. To check out each performance, musicians can instantly play back the video through a computer in the room. At the end of a rehearsal, musicians are given the video files made during the session to review, use and share. This technology does not exist anywhere else. Musicians at Replay Music Studios have used it for pre-production, promotion and education.
Because of this recording technology, the “live” sound of the room and superior soundproofing, Replay’s New York City studios are sought after by both the amateur and professional musician.
Computers in each studio also give musicians full access to the Internet.
